Advertised nationally, the American Civil War Show will feature over 300 tables of the finest Civil War and earlier military effects, relics, memorabilia, books, paper goods, paper goods, art and antique weapons for buy, sale or trade. These items are displayed by the country’s most distinguished Civil War dealers and museums, as well as private collectors. The general public is encouraged to bring their own items in for sale or trade.

“We’re excited to have new vendors and displays at this year’s Civil War Show,” said Frank Davido, NVRHA president. “What’s great about relics is that there are always new finds that nobody has seen before. We’re pleased to be able to share our country’s rich history through the artifacts we display and sell.”

About the Northern Virginia Relic Hunters Association

The NVRHA was founded in 1972 and organized to promote the study and preservation of American history through the location, identification and preservation of military and related historical artifacts, with a focus on the Civil War.  Each April, the NVRHA sponsors its annual American Civil War Show. Members of NVRHA have published numerous books on the identification of Civil War artifacts and various other aspects of the War. Some books are widely used for reference by students, professors, historians, archaeologists and relic hunters.

The NVRHA supports various efforts whose ultimate goal is the preservation of threatened historical sites. To this end, NVRHA donates relics, monies, and volunteer hours to various museums and battlefields, and the archaeological community. Club members also provide presentations and relic displays to local schools and organizations.

The NVRHA holds monthly meetings, with notable speakers, and events throughout the year. Meetings are generally held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the National Rifle Association conference center at 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA. These meetings are open to the public.
