Register now! Spotsylvania County is accepting sign-ups for this unique, one-day camp at the Dabney House, a historic brick house across from Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery on Business Route 208. Children who participate in the camp will receive two free tickets to Spotsylvania’s 2014 Civil War Re-enactment on Saturday and Sunday, May 3��"4. Through hands-on activities, camp, children will learn what life would have been like during the Civil War. At learning stations throughout the day, experts will teach them about life in the military, the Underground Railroad, what home life was like for wartime families, and women’s roles in the war��"from spying to battle, medicine and nursing. For ages 7��"14, as of Jan. 1. $40/child; $60/child (if a non-Spotsylvania resident).
