The evening celebration will feature live music with Band of Brothers, Richmond radio celebrities Bill Bevins and Shelly Perkins, art, awards presentation, demos, hors d’oeuvres, floral art by David Pippin’s students, and more. Evening entertainment will include a painting demo by Amy Harris, winner of the Center's 2013 National Juried Exhibition, and a "Foot Trailing" pottery demo by Steven Summerville.
Over $1,900 in artist awards will be presented by Christaphora Robeers, artist and juror for the first South-Atlantic Juried Exhibition. A call for artists was distributed throughout southeastern states from Maryland to Florida. Accepted 2-dimensional art will be exhibited at The Montpelier Center May 3 through June 30, 2014.
Winners of the annual Young Artists Exhibition will be presented by judge Chelsea Colón, art teacher at Beaverdam Elementary School.
