Woman Adorned Workshop with Jeremy Moore

Have you ever dreamed of owning a pair of custom-designed shoes? Now’s your chance. Spend an afternoon with friends, light refreshments, and the creative inspiration of artist Jeremy Mooreat the final Woman Adorned artist workshop Boogie Shoes on Saturday, August 23, 1 ��" 4pm at the Fredericksburg Area Museum & Cultural Center. This workshop is for 13 and older. Learn how to transform a pair of plain, boring shoes into a set of one of a kind, unique, custom kicks at the final Woman Adorned artist workshop.

Mr. Moore’s easy step by step demonstration will teach you how to decorate them with your nameoriginal designs or anything else you can think of! It will also cover how to photograph, weatherproof and care for your wearable artwork. This workshop will focus on using paint/markers to customize canvas (fabric) shoes and will also include brief instruction on working with leather shoes as well.

The instructor, Jeremy Moore, is a tattoo artist who recently moved to and is working out of a shop in Richmond, VA. While living in Spotsylvania, he participated in the past three Fredericksburg Via Colori street art festivals and has been featured in several other art shows downtown at various locations including the Ponshop, Sammy T’s, and J. Brian’s. He loves working with all things art-related and has been customizing shoes for several years.

The cost for this workshop is $40/person. Participants may register online at www.famcc.org or at The Museum Store located at 215 William Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Participants are asked to provide a BRAND NEW pair of white or lightly colored canvas shoes and inspiration. All other materials will be provided.
